Dear Friends of FoTH,  

I would like to share with you my take on some questions which were popped by Dr. Jamil. Mr. Gary Dale has answered them on CMU List Serve, also published on FoTH web post #35. The questions are copied in blue:

 
 *1.  When and how in a universe that started suddenly expanding from a
 zero size singularity of infinite mass-energy (infinite curvature) all
 the components of the universe started rotating around their own axes
 and around other objects? How does an expanding universe explain the
 rotation of all its components?*

Mr. Dale claims that there is nothing to explain. I believe, there is a great deal of explanation that we need and what we have discovered so far is very little. I however disagree with Dr. Jamil as well, who is assuming a zero volume (size) for the singularity. The singularity is supposed to be of a very small volume, and infinitely dense. A zero size or volume, obviously cannot sustain mass or energy. The cosmologists think the volume may have been as small as an atom, but not zero.  The rotation of the heavenly bodies around their own axis is required to create gyro effect for their stability. Their rotation in orbits is required to create the necessary centrifugal force to overcome the gravitational forces of the larger bodies around which the smaller bodies are floating. This is analogous to electrons moving in their orbits around the atomic nucleus.  

Who is responsible to devise this self perpetuating system, both at cosmos level as well at subatomic level is of course a good question.  

 *2.  If the universe is as huge as it is estimated to be and there is  a system involved in its functioning, with physical laws same  everywhere, how can this system sustain itself without a system of very high-speed communication between all the parts of the universe?
Remember that Einstein has created a light-speed barrier which makes it impossible for any communication to travel faster than light. And in the backdrop of huge university, light is nothing more than a crawler.* 

It is not Einstein who created the speed barrier, he merely observed that nothing can go past the speed of light. Photons do move at that speed, but then, the photons are the light. The rest mass of the particle dictates according to the Lorentz Transformation equation as how fast it can go with the practically available driving force. We know this well from our particle accelerator experiments. The photons have a very small mass at rest, but that is a derived figure; one cannot find a photon at rest.  

*3. Who made Laws, who is enforcing them all over the universe? Can therefore be enforcement of laws without any enforcing agencies?  Remember that Laws suddenly came into existence at the time of Big Bang and did not evolve like the universe evolved.*

Yes, we know the physical laws suddenly came into existence, within second. One moment there was nothing and then there was every thing within microseconds. It’s a good question as to who created the laws and who/what is the enforcing agency? It is also true, they did not evolve, they suddenly came into being. We can all scratch our heads to answer it. But please FOTH friends don’t tell me that Darwin had the answer.

*4. How can Big Bang Theory be regarded as theory of creation when it neither created matter, nor energy and only created an ever expanding space?*

It is true, the Big Bang is just an event of transition to release infinitely dense matter with smaller volume into lower density and larger volume (space). It improvised both, space and time. It turned the already existing matter into what we see as the universe.

My answer concurs with that of Mr. Dale.

 *5. Why all the planets, asteroids, satellites and other components of the solar system revolve in the same plane and the same direction?*

In case they were in different directions, their mutual gravitational field would play a havoc on one another. They would constantly be in and out of the pulsating gravity waves of each other. Take the example of moons movement around the earth, how it produces the tidal effect periodically. All the planets going in the same direction smooth out the gravity wave effects.  

Mr. Dale has referred to his own answer 1 (post 35).  

In cosmology, we know what happened, but for much of what has happened, we do not know how or why it happened and what or who caused it?  

From Islamic theological point of view, the answer to the last question is described in the Quran. But of course, there are many atheists who do not accept that, they would prefer to be without that answer in the hope that science might, some day, offer the much desired answers. I leave it at that or some natives of FOTH may become too restless.
