Dear Dr. Jamil
A while back I had given
a speech at the FOTH seminar 'Relevance of
Quran in the 21st century'. I had gone on to
explain the several forces acting on each of
the billions of trillions of heavenly bodies,
as well as the billions of trillions of atoms
that make up those heavenly bodies. If either
one of the masses of a satellite or central
body, speed of rotation or revolution,
distance were to change slightly, instead of
being perfectly balanced by gravity, the
heavenly bodies would start crashing into each
other. Indeed they would start exploding from
within if the atomic balance was disturbed.
And the force of gravity itself is so precise
that in the words of Dr. Richard Collins, if
we stretch a ruler from one corner of the
universe to the other, a distance of 14
billion light years, and this ruler is graded
in inches, then the value of the gravitation
force lies on one specific interval on this
ruler. Move it up or down an inch and
anything bigger than a pea would get crushed.
Indeed all that needs for
Qiyaamat is the slightest change in the force
of gravity.
After this, I went on to
explain what would be the perfect kind of
proof for existence of God, something
verifiable, tangible, not bound by language,or
time or location.
Then I proceeded to provide answers to
questions that people did not even dare to
ask, because an answer seemed so distant. e.g.
why is the universe so big, why humans are the
only creatures with rational thinking and
freedom of choice and narrated information
about the Great Feud (referred in Quran as
awesome news) that answered all the questions
including why we are here, where we are going
and how to get there. Finally I provided true
relevance of the Quran, how it provides
solutions to our most pressing problems.
I expected a discussion
on the merits of the argument. I was extremely
disappointed with people I thought were
independent minded, unbiased and objective.
They were really pseudo intellectuals, more
like 'wannabees' carrying their load of
baggage with their minds made up and their
ears shut, each promoting his/her own agenda
with complete disregard to finding the truth.
I found them as close minded as the mullahs,
only at the other extreme - but just as
arrogant and ignorant nevertheless.
Sadly the situation now
comes to this - rather than hope to convince
these people I now have to present them with
evidence which they will undoubtedly deny and
be held answerable for. Towards this end I
will give them the ultimate evidence that will
be the silent catalyst to take them towards
the destructive path they have chosen. This
will be given in a message entitled 'Witness a
miracle' to be posted shortly.
