IQBAL -The Philosophical Test of the Revelations of Religious Experience

Family of the Heart - DIALOGUE & DISCUSSIONS

Mr. Zafar has simply maintained that the three arguments of scholastic philosophy presented by Dr. Iqbal are not acceptable. He says that most scientists do not believe in God; hence, we should also not believe in God.

Dr.Jaffary misunderstood the whole thing. It was not me but Allama Sahib who rejected the three arguments normally proposed for the existence of God.
Scholastic philosophy has put forward three arguments for the existence of God. These arguments, known as the Cosmological, the Teleological, and the Ontological, embody a real movement of thought in its quest after the Absolute. But regarded as logical proofs, I am afraid, they are open to serious criticism and further betray a rather superficial interpretation of experience.
Its always advisable to read the subject more than once to avoid making wrong assumptions.

Zafar
