Parvez Saheb: ASA
I am surprised that the latest
action against Ahmadiyya Muslims has generated so much interest.
Systemic, state-sponsored persecution of Ahmadis in Pakistan has been
going on since at least 1974. One only has to look at the reports of
the UN Human Rights Commssion and Amnesty International among others
to confirm this fact.
Persecution of any religious,
ethnic or cultural minority is bad enough but to to do it on the basis
of lies and half-truths is worse. From the comments submitted to you
it is clear that much of the anti-Ahmadiyya sentiment is based on
ignorance and prejudice.
Most anti-Ahmadi individuals
are not interested in fact as their minds are already made up thanks
to the propaganda of Mullahs.
HOW MANY NON-AHMADI MSLIMS KNOW THE FOLLOWING FACTS:
1. Ahmadis believe that
prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the Khatam-un-Nabyeen (the last and final
prophet), The founder of Ahmadi Jamaat only claimed to be a reformer
of his time whose mere function was to restablish true Islam according
to the teachings of the holy Quran, Hadith and Sunna. He said he was
a slave of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and was absolutely stubservient
to him. He did say that the term shadow nabi can be used for such
a reformer and Mujaddid as has been used earlier for other reformers
such as Syedna Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA).
2. One commentator says that
Ahmadis do not believe in Jihad. How wrong indeed. Ahmadis believe
that the first and foremost Jihad is the one for ones spiritual
uplift. The Jihad of TALWAR is a defensive war only not an offensive
one. Both of these beliefs are confirmed by the holy Quran and the
life of our holy prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In terms of the Talwar
Jihad, Ahmadis were in the forefront of it during the Kashmir war of
1948 when the raised their own FURQAN FORCE approved and supported by
the Pakistan government.
3. Another commentator calls Jihad one of the five pillars of Islam.
Wrong. The five pillars of Islam have always been Shahada, Salat, Som
(Fasting), Zakat and Hajj.
$. Yet another scholar says
that Ahmadiyya do not believe in Hajj. Nothing could be far from the
truth. Hajj has been banned for Ahmadis for the last few years thanks
to the poisonous propaganda of Pakistani Mullahs. Still, hundreds and
thousands of Ahmadis perform Hajj every year.
One can go on and on about the incorrect and sometimes blatantly false
beliefs attributed to Ahmadi Muslims.
