Dear All,
please note that the original topic or the proposition was, (I am not sure
of the exact wording) “Is Quran applicable in 21st
century” or some thing to that effect. As we know Islam exists in many
colors and with different stripes including or excluding Sharia and Hadith.
Islam also exists in various sectarian ideologies. My Islam is that of the Quranic Islam which does not recognize sects, orthodoxy
or liberalism etc.
The
democracy and Islam question was raised only today for a limited discussion
within a few people involved. My reference to it was only limited to Quran.
