The factors behind rise of fundamentalism need to be understood and analyzed. The rulers in Muslim World and their policies (if they can be termed as policies) are responsible for the current situation. Muslim rulers have been playing havoc with middle and lower class since long. The reaction has taken the form of fundamentalism.
