"Having
said that, we should realize that all the argumentation and problems of the
world are due to the fact that some form of "truth" is forever
being imposed on us -- "legally or politically" -- whether we
like it or not."
What then is the
alternative, Rashid? Do we live in a state of anarchy where every one is
able to practice his or her "truth", however detrimental it might
be to society as a whole?I think that the
"truth" (secularism) that
many civilized nations of the world have agreed upon should not be seen as
an imposition. In the West, we have statutory freedom of religion,
conscience, speech etc. Secular governance is a "truth" but one
that affords us many liberties and opportunities.

Farzana.
