Rashid, are you suggesting that I’m trying to
be obscure and intellectual? On the contrary, I am trying to shed some
light in as straightforward a manner as possible. For example, you seem to
agree with me that “fundamentalism” has a meaning which is clear to all.
Why then do you disagree with me when I write that, in the case of this
word, time spent discussing its meaning is largely wasted? This seems
highly contradictory.
As for my simple assertion that Islamic
fundamentalists set off more bombs (surely hard to dispute!), what is your
objection? Is it not clear what I am trying to do? Why such psychobabble in
reply?
This response is brief, because I have confined
myself to those few parts of your posting which I think I understand. As
for the rest….well, you seem to be talking down from a pedestal! I, for
one, do not understand you.
