Peter Joyce wrote and
I quote:
“Do they think that
the world is interested in an old book?”
“The nations that have
failed are the ones which are inflexible, ideological, rooted in tradition,
burdened by a victim mentality, and see any foreign participation in their
countries’ affairs as interference”
If Peter still thinks
that American invasion on Afghanistan
and Iraq
is a “foreign participation” then I have a news
for him. This ultra-rightist and neo-con thinking is now thoroughly
discredited in America,
as it is a failed policy that has bankrupted the country. Five percent of the world population
cannot dominate rest of the ninety-five percent forever.
Peter wrongly assumes
that America has a God
given right or certain moral obligation to invade other nations in order to
teach them civilization, engage in social engineering and develop them
economically as it did in Japan
and Taiwan.
In his view, it is rather incumbent upon those uncivilized and
underdeveloped Muslim countries for their own good to welcome the invaders
as Taiwan and Japan did.
However, these stupid Muslims, followers of an “Old Book”, remained poor,
uncivilized and retarded their own growth by confronting the invaders.
Rather then following the Taiwanese and Japanese examples, the dim-witted
Iraqis and Afghanis followed the path of Viet Nam and suffered the
consequence.
I am sorry to say that
Peter seems to believe in white supremacy like Winston Churchill did and
living in an era that has long passed.
