ALL SECULAR PAKISTANIS NEED TO UNITE

Family of the Heart - DIALOGUE & DISCUSSIONS

 Dear Khalid,

The group (A) of non-believers and group (B) of believers, as you have defined, and as you have further mentioned are in favour of a Secular State. So, all these Secular Pakistanis are already united. Any further call:  “All Secular Pakistanis need to Unite” is no more necessary. The discussion over the Unity of Secular Pakistanis is over.

What is cooking in an individual secular mind is perhaps known to the Creator or to some highly qualified Experts. I will let you ponder over it with your intelligent colleagues. For me it will remain a fascinating mystery.

To continue the discussion on Secularism in Pakistan, we should think of the actions and the means to be taken by Pakistani Secular to change the Islamic Society to the Secular? Personally, I think it will be as difficult as moving a mountain but I will gladly participate in this effort. I will let you choose the future Slogan.

As for our mutual discussion concerning the use of a dictionary to understand the meaning of Secularism, I find that a dictionary gives a simple, direct, and comprehensible answer to a simple minded person like me even if it might be a mud to a higher intellect.

Your definition of Secularism, “Freedom for Religion as well as Freedom from Islam” is composed of two contradictory statements because of “for” and “from”. Also, the limit of Freedom is left undefined. In which case it is total freedom and when does it becomes limited? Certainly, you had something more in your mind concerning two different types of freedom which you kept to yourself. This particular difference is known to you but not to others. They are free to guess right or wrong!

It reminds me the Quranic (3:7) allegorical verses, the true meanings of which are only know to Allah. By writing beautiful allegorical phrases are you trying to imitate Him? Personally, I doubt it but one never knows; you may have some other motives. Your attitude of considering your definition true and the definition of a dictionary as mud resembles very much to a Higher Authority!
