Dear Peter,
I was following this old and rusty debate not
with much interest. But your last comments made me to respond. I have been
warned by many known and unknown people that they will not participate in
my funeral because I am a rebel in their iron curtain of faith. To them
freedom of thought is subject to some conditions. You can’t ask all the
questions your mind wants to ask. When you go to a mosque you have to leave
your brain along with your shoes outside because asking questions may be
termed as blasphemy. This is my personal experience. Prayer is made with
all devotions, Rabbi jidney elman
qatirao, O Lord give me lots of knowledge, but in
reality knowledge is subject to dogmas. In short I would only say that all
these deep throated corollary of religions is just a process to further our
knowledge. An epoch is fast approaching when all these institutionalized
religions will disappear and will be replaced by an endless freedom of
thinking. As the universe is expanding our vistas of knowledge will continue
to expand and the posterity will be blessed with more knowledge. Fear will
evaporate and the so called intellectuals who reserve the right to
condition human freedom in the name of religion will not be there anymore.
