My humble suggestion to all my friends on this forum: please invest some time and effort reading some history if you haven't already. Two highly authoritative books backed by solid research that I would highly recommend are

1- Pakistan Between Military and Mosque by Hussain Haqqani

2- The Destruction of Pakistani Democracy. I can't recall the author's name but you can easily google it.

I also have a third book to suggest but I won't since it is written by a Jewish person which is certain to elicit the label of "Zionist conspiracy" :) though you can't find a single crack in the work.

And if you would like to know how a Pakistani military mind like Musharraf's works, read "India: A study in profile" by Lt. Gen Javed Hassan which is recommended reading in Pak Military Academies. In the same pursuit, I beg you, especially Virk sahib, to read "Witness To Surrender" by Brig. Siddique Salik.

This was the same Siddique Salik who died with Gen. Zia in the plane crash. Oh well, he had inadvertently wished for it when he titled one of his books "Hamaa yaraN dozakh". :)

Best regards,
