Dear Virk sahib,
In your last post, you wrote,
First of all, let me admit again, that at this point I am a [reluctant] supporter of Pervaiz Musharraf, and that for a good reason. This is not at all because he is an army person, but because he is a Pakistani fighting back against foreign intervention in Pakistan’s affairs. Can we please not see that his efforts at this point are FOR Pakistan? Can we NOT put our differences and uncompromising philosophies and theories behind for a while? While some old timers are trying to sell off Pakistan, he is trying to salvage it. For that big reason, he deserves all Pakistanis’ support.
Pray, tell me what are you talking about Musharraf fighting back against foreign intervention in Pakistan's affairs. What has Musharraf done, to date, to be charged with such heinous crime? Just not handing Dr. A. Q. Khan over to US has merited for this accusation? Pleas, sir. You are accusing a person of fighting back against foreign intervention who actually invites it. Please remember that Musharraf brought in Saudi chief of intelligence in Pakistan who sermonized to press why Pakistani Supreme Court's decision was not enough to allow a Pakistani citizen come back in to his own country. Also see today's news. Saudi Ambassador was made to meet the Chief Justice Iftikhar Ahmed Chaudry who is under house arrest (and no Pakistani citizen is allowed to meet him). After meeting the CJ, the Saudi Ambassador went straight to the foreign office. It isn't hard to guess what is in works. Most probably a foreign entity is being requested by Musharraf to intervene and kidnap a Pakistani citizen again. So, please reconsider your charges of Musharraf fighting against foreign intervention in Pakistan.
Regards,
Rafi
