RESPECTFULLY FOR
FEROZ...SUBJECTIVE AND OBJECTIVE REALITIES
Dear Feroz...thank you for your comments. In my opinion we
all live in two worlds...subjective and objective worlds, reflecting two
different realities.
Universe is an
objective reality that runs according to laws of nature that we can all
observe through microscopes and telescopes and understand by our logical
and rational thinking.
Interpretation of
universe is a subjective reality. Poets use it all the time but readers
know that they are subjective realities created by the poet's imagination.
Fantasies, dreams,
myths, beliefs are all subjective realities. I deal with them everyday in
my clinical practice as a psychotherapist. Those are people's subjective
truths.
Some are called
beliefs, others are called delusions. When there is a serious conflict
between subjective and objective realities people have conflicts and suffer
emotionally.
I respect people's objective
realities even when I do not agree with them. So I respect YOUR belief in
YOUR God and you have every right to have it.
But your subjective reality
will only become objective reality if I and Rashid Mughal and Farzana
Hassan can also experience it otherwise it remains your subjective reality.
I met many believers
who feel the need to convert non-believers..
Do you want people to
believe what they do not see or experience?.
Buddha said EXPERIENCE is the ultimate teacher.
With our limited minds
we can only experience limited things. For the rest we can say WE DO NOT
KNOW.
For believers God is
like the blank tile of the Scrabble. Whatever they do not understand they
say GOD DID IT.
sincerely,
sohail
