I don't know why you say I took
it literally. I simply stated that
there is a universe with countless trillions of heavenly bodies spinning in
an orbit, and therefore there is a designer of the universe. Common sense
tells us that there is a reason for our existence which would not be kept
hidden from us. Rather than look into that, by seeking knowledge, you
arbitrarily term it as me knowing God's mind.
A comment about your statement,
God is a reality whether we want
to accept that or not. Our inability to comprehend God is irrelevant. All
we can do as intelligent human being[s] is accept the reality and discard
our erroneous conclusions of the past."
You seem to think that I am
bringing opinion and bias into this.
You are drawing conclusions that are not there. When you look up at the countless stars
in their orbits, does it sound like my opinion to you that there is a
designer behind all this? Does it make you think I am bringing the past
into the present? Or that I am somehow linking this to a
Adam and Eve? You have not been able to separate reality of the universe,
and the mythical figures of Adam and Eve, apparently.
I sincerely think you are
bringing your past bad experiences with religion which is clouding clear
thinking for the future.
Perhaps you do not need to
increase your knowledge about the reason for our existence. Perhaps you will reject it simply because
the reasons were not put forward by you, or
because you have too much knowledge and do not need more. I don't know.
I do know however that with a
close minded attitude one remains hopelessly trapped in wasteful
discussions with no hope of any real progress.
It is wise to realize that there
is a fine line between intelligence and arrogance. The true intellectuals are humble and seek
knowledge.
