It is interesting to note that the MQM adherents want the chief justice to probe the excesses including the death of 15000 MQM workers in 1992. But factually MQM never supported the reinstatement of the chief justice and instead sided with the ousted president Pervez Musharraf who gave state patronage to MQM and was an enemy of CJ Iftikhar Ch.

 The mysterious killings was done at the behest of the interior minister of the then PPP government and later continued during Nawaz Sharif. That was in fact a counterpoise to the MQM’s own spree of target killing let loose against their opponents, including the Punjabis and the Pathan. If the Pakistan army had not moved fast the separation of urban Sindh with the help of India would have definitely materialized. Does anyone doubt that there is no blood at the hands of Altaf Hussain of countless innocents from Pathans, the dissident Urdu speaking people and other s as well?

The MQM will always remained confined to Karachi and unless it sheds its claim of being victims like Jews or being totally innocents or uprooted, would never win the support of the vast majority of the people of Pakistan. It would always remain marginalized.
