I am much concerned about the speech of the MQM chief Jinab Altaf Hussain, made in New Delhi in 2005 in a seminar in which he uttered the following words"

 

" THE DIVISION OF THE SUB CONTINENT WAS THE GREATEST BLUNDER IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND. IT WAS NOT THE DIVISION OF LAND BUT DIVISION OF BLOOD"

 

In the same speech with full rhetorical force he appeals to the Indian government in the following words"

 

"I would request the government of India, the opposition, the human right activists, and the full Indian team here that if Pakistan's establishment allows the Mohajirs to return to India, then they should be forgiven and given protection in India" 

Was this statement  made just as an emotional outburst or as genuine appeal?
