Dear Tahir Qazi Sahib

Some writers in this and other FOTH forums and elsewhere are a pleasure to read. I have no hesitation in applauding their contributors. You are one of those members. I always learn a lot from you.

However, once in a while I get thrown into “wonderville” as to what motivates one to say what one says. Before I go further, may I quote Iqbal?
This profound poetry [philosophy] from Iqbal builds foundations, heights, depths and widths of thought process. Our thoughts can reach from nowhere to infinity, and still continue. Such thought process could trigger in one many things, including motivation to make a change is this world.

But one must be honest and sincere when one wants to introduce change. Foundations must be solid.

There exists lots of false history. Foundation build upon such “history” are questionable, and would have disastrous consequences for future generation. This is so even for current generation as we observe from the 9/11, Al-Qaeda and “Islamic terrorism” myths and propaganda. All of this I call current false history. Millions of innocent people have been slaughtered using this history.

You make a comment………….

“While discussing prevalent conditions in Islamic world with mindset of a political activist, Mr. Fatah heavily banks on history to frame his arguments. In fact, it is history that creates conditions for political activism. And, it is also true that change in social and political conditions can only be brought by actions of those who are either concerned or those who are affected by such historic conditions. Fatah's book is a voice from both sides of this equation. He has painstakingly gone through annals of Islamic history to tersely conclude:”

The above verses from Iqbal are remarkable and thought provoking challenge. If we challenge the authenticity of history, we might conclude that history is from being questionable to outright false and fraudulent, as I mentioned above. In that case books like Tarek Fatah, Irshad Manji, Sam Harris stand where? To make their case they heavily use 9/11, Al-Qaeda, “Muslim terrorists”. We all know that these institutions are fraudulent.

Several years ago, when I read posts on this so called “MCC” web site, I discovered that Mr Fatah was heavily condemning “Muslim terrorists”, Al-Qaeda, for 9/11. I would also like to do that, but only if there is a solid evidence against them. So far there is no concrete evidence. Through an email, I challenged Tarek to provide that evidence. He did not reply. Then in one of our FOTH seminars (about terrorism), he was using same arguments and applauding Sam Harris. I raised the same question, to provide evidence. Again he could not reply. I know the reason why he is not able to respond. We all know the reason.  Neither he has the proof, nor does anyone else. Yet these book writers, using this current history, are capitalizing form the misery inflicted upon innocent miserable..

The truth is that these “reformers” do not need the 9/11 or Al-Qaeda or “Islamic terrorists” to introduce change. There is already too much wrong with Muslims and religions. Their motives are obvious. I use the above poetry to uncover their motive, which is NOT to reform Muslims or Islam. I think Muslims and Islam is beyond repair right now.

It is our duty moral and otherwise, not to corrupt future generations’ thought process using false history. But some people are doing just that and profiting forms the suffering humans. The least we could do is NOT applaud them. The best we could do is to challenge them and hold them answerable for their actions.
