Dear Rafi sahib,
Some of us are holding our breath to see you land
safely. I think, it is not the reader’s block that
you are suffering from, I think the flight is too
noisy for you, as the landing gears could not be
retracted. That, by the way is a clear indication
that there is hydraulic failure some where which
is causing the problem. Your pilot should
immediately end the flight and bring you back to
ground. The hydraulic failures can cause other
vital control surfaces to fail increasing the
probability for the flight to go into a tail spin,
often considered a fatal condition for all kinds
of flying objects, identified or un-identified.
On the ground, in the mean while, we will be
slaughtering a black goat and reciting the Holy
scriptures for your safety while you go through
the rough ride of flight back home as you go
through chapters 8 and beyond.
Since you love Iqbal, let me quote him, “Raise*
thy self so high that God would be compelled to
ask – do you need any help with the hydraulics –
or would you manage on your own”?
[*The term ‘raising high’ means the spiritual
ascendance not in terms of height above sea level
as measured by your aircraft altimeter – the
obvious jam you appeared to be in at this time! ]
Once on ground, please do call back to confirm.
