Whatever the illiterate Muslim masses
may say, but the fact remains that at
the people's level, there is no
country like US. We may curse US for
its "neo-colonialist" push and as a
promoter of monopoly capitalism, that
has brought about so much misery
recently to the common man. However we
should remember the uniqueness of the
US system and how it works. What
happened in US, cannot happen so
easily in any other country.
I have a feeling that US may be able to eventually "transform" into a better society, that does not serve the interest of the market profiteers only, but also looks after the welfare of its people. This change will be gradual, if at all. The victory of Obama has rekindled the hope, of something that otherwise would have been very difficult to perceive. Canada is still very backward in its leadership capacity. Our leadership is still embalmed in the matrix of inferiority syndrome.
