All political
parties need to present their 5 to 10 year plan
to deal with serious economic, religious and
social problems so that people know which party
will serve them the best.
Above are the lines which pushed me
to express my views on democracy and political
parties in Pakistan. and also i would like you
to benefit me with your opinion , particularly
in the AREA OF DEMOCRACY IN PAKISTAN . Below is
my opinion but i would wait for yours as i want
to add that one in the article which i intend to
send to pakistan . I am sure your views on this
subject will make the article A VERY GOOD ONE.
In my opinion there was and is NO such Democracy
(in its real sense ) in Pakistan although
people of Pakistan get the right or choice to
vote for any candidate of their choice… and
political parties get the opportunity to run
elections…….No Democracy
is the reason which led army come into the power
and abolish so called Democracy .
Our political parties (in general ) who promise
to establish a democratic government have no
democracy in their own parties, they do not hold
elections within the party. Party leaders run
their parties on the pattern of monarch and
khalafat , BAADSHA, WALIAHAD AND AGAIN WALIAHA.
Peoples party is very good example of this
system.
Muslim league is called and known by the name
of its head…..like NAWAZ LEAGUE ( in his regime
he tried to pass the bill of AMEER-UL-MOMANEEN
for him) from the assembly, I guess (not sure )
it was passed but then senate didn’t pass this
bill. These two most popular parties issue party
ticket to run elections to those only who are
feudal, big business tycoons or rich by any
means. Who are capable to buy votes. Believe me
they all buy vote, all poor people take the
elections as another opportunity to make money,
though little. No capable, intelligent,
talented, highly educated and qualified high
profiled person can imagine to get party ticket
nor they can run the election as it requires lot
of money. That’s why whoever wins the election
he or she first of all try to get back the spent
money 100 times more then they spent on
election. Their sole concentration remains on
this only point till their tenure ends.
Now I like to say something about the voters.
Majority of Pakistani people lives in villages n
small town, they are the HARI of their lords who
run election and generally they vote for them to
get small benefits from them and to make them
happy so they can enjoy little more high status
or they are forced to vote for their lords.
If they find themselves free to vote for the
person they like they make mistake here. Because
of lack of education they know nothing about WHO
they are going to vote for. They are unable to
understand or recall WHO cheated them after
winning, who joined the hands of undemocratic
elements, who played heinous games n committed
crimes while keeping themselves off the scenes.
We can see many faces in present regime who were
declared and pleaded guilty in past but they ran
elections, got sufficient votes and now are
part of the government. The event of election is
more like a MAILA (festival) than a serious
affair. Candidates make very emotional,
sentimental speeches, far away from the reality
world and truth. They make the promises which
they cannot fulfill and in the hearts of heart
they know they are just fooling the people .
Every time emotional exploited people, believe
them and vote for them . This is the story of
election which repeats itself after every few
years.
There is another ugly factor that manipulates
the voters, BRADREE SYSTEM, it got strengthen in
previous years. (isn’t it ironical that rather
to progress we are regressing more and more)
Educated people know their true face( their
false statements, lies, crime, fraud and
political games ) of the candidates so generally
do not want to vote (that’s why turnout in
cities is always low) for any.
I can write more and more on the subject but I
would like to finish over the comment once a
bureaucrat made on this particular situation, “
our people are not politically mature yet and it
will take them years to reach to the required
political maturity level…”
