many thanks for your supportive comments.  I am on ordinary Pakistani citizen,  and the thoughts stated in this paragraph are actually shared by millions of other Pakistanis.  Unfortunately the government and the Mullahs use religion as an instrument of power and hence the society frequently runs into such barbaric outbursts.

The fact that the first responsibility of the state is to protect life and property of ALL its citizens has clearly NOT yest sunk home.

You can perhaps as individuals and as a group write in Canadian and Pakistan press,  to the PM and the ministers, and the ambassadors of Pakistan to take notice and bring the culprits  to justice.
