I also did not celebrate the 14 August this year though not exactly for the same reasons as yours but much much more. I did not send a single card to anyone of my 9 close friends, at least 2 dozen acquaintances, about 3 dozen business acquaintances and 7 grand children. I sent them the message that heart my bleeds and my mind gets jammed when I think what all is happening in Pakistan -- not on one aspect but ALL aspects of life. The lives of people are worst than animals while lives of elite, politicians, industrialists, businessmen, corrupt bearcats and above all the Mullahs is as if they are living in heaven. They will pay for it but when and how? I hope soon.
