SYED H. HAIDER, USA

Jan. 14, 2007

I just want to clarify few points Dr. Tahir Qazi  mentioned in his post # 34 about my post # 28

  • His being captured from a hole (As if he it would make a difference were he caught from one of his golden palaces built with wealth robbed from Iraqi people)

Yes it would have made a difference. I believe that when defeat was eminent he should have surrendered and saved lot of lives of his countrymen and destruction of the country, or died fighting along with his brave soldiers. Instead he choose to hide in a rat hole which in my opinion was not a good choice.

  • His dishevelled appearance during dental examination

I never said anything about his appearance dishevelled or otherwise.

  • Your rhetorical but still blasphemous invention of a new "Kalema". (For reference, your quote: “ … to be a real Muslim you have to utter "I bear witness that there is no God except one God and Muhammad is God's prophet and I am anti west specially anti-USA.")

I agree it was a rhetorical comment but directed to those people who have made it their religion to blame west and USA for anything bad happening anywhere. It was definitely not directed towards you. You have balanced views as it appears from your comment below

  • And your interpretations of what I wrote
I will be more than happy if my understanding of what you wrote is wrong and you meant quite the opposite to what I interpreted
  • All of the above appears to me somewhat less thoughtful. I believe my uncle Syed Iftekhar Haider Sahib’s well meaning post can also be read like this: “Let justice prevail through compassion”.  I wish you well.
The question, how justice was dispensed to Saddam, was not addressed by me but I 100% agree that justice was not done with compassion to Saddam I have no doubt about it.

Regards,

Syed H. Haider
