Thanks
FOTH for
this lively debate. While reading the contributions
from the group I marveled at the diversity of
opinion the
family of heart members have. As pro-Saddam far
out number anti-Saddam members of the family I will
like to take the side of under dogs.
First I will seek
the opinion of the Lion of pro-Saddam group
Akber Choudhry who
writes in the concluding Para of one of his
rebuttal, I quote
Saddam
was a brutal dictator, yet he kept Iraq together,
well-fed and literate, and he died bravely and did
not flee, like Khomeini fled to
France or Benazir fled to England. That was the
eulogy.
Akber you mean to
say if a brutal dictator keeps a country together,
keeps them well-fed and literate his death should be
lamented regardless how many death he is responsible
for. Saddam is credited with 10 million Muslim’s
death due to his misadventures and arrogance. If
that is not enough for you to hold your eulogy then
what figure will make you to say it is enough, 100
million 500 million, entire Muslim ummah? For me the
death one innocent person is enough to put to sword
the person responsible, like it is done in Saudi
Arabia. Islamic justice. Forgiveness only if victims
relatives agree.
In your
enthusiasm to glorify a despot and degrade Khomeini
you have inadvertently blindsided a
Great Personality (PBUH) who left his country of
birth in the darkness of night by putting his cousin
on his bed. I pray for your forgiveness and expect
you to remorse on this un-intentional mistake. All
of them sought refuge from tyranny and went to a
safe place. to continue their mission. They did not
flee.
Like Shah of Iran
no country was ready to accept Saddam the Lion whose
mouth was dripping with blood of innocent men women
and children. Please read some excerpts at the end.
By the way are you the same person who wrote
eulogy for that petty Jordanian thief and mass
murderer of Muslims the Tiger Zarqawi? Forgive me if
I am wrong
Now Javed
Chaudry. who writes The 160,000 uniformed
terrorists did not invade Iraq to dole out justice.
I wish there was a stronger military on earth to
serve the same justice to those who have been
providing ‘justice’ and ‘freedom’ to the Iraqis.
Good news for you
Javed it has happened. When a Kurd mother looked
towards the sky after her children died an
excruciating death by gas poisoning in her lap and
asked God for the justice, the God looked at
impotent armies of Muslim countries and with heavy
heart mobilized a Stronger Christian army to
relieve Iraqi's from the group of tyrants who were
keeping their countrymen well-fed with mustard gas.
By the way God took same action by sending Mohammed
Bin Qasim to Sindh.
Javed I hope you
remember that these were the same uniformed
terrorist who bombed their Christian brothers in
Serbia and put their lives at stake to save Muslims
of Kosovo. But we should not talk about such things
as we will be branded anti-Muslim. Now a days to be
a real Muslim you have to utter "I bear witness that
there is no God except one God and Muhammad is God's
prophet and I am anti west specially anti-USA."
I thought
Akber and
Javed are staunch
pro-Saddami but Tahir has topped them by far. Listen
to what he writes.
"His potential
for becoming a source of inspiration for resistance
has overnight become global because he stood up to
brutality unwavering till death.
SADDAM STOOD UP
TO BRUTALITY UNWAVERING TILL DEATH!!!!!
What are you
talking about. He is synonymous with brutality.
Please check with Akber and Javed even they will
hesitate to agree that Saddam stood up to brutality
unwavering till death. Come on be reasonable Tahir.
Another
interesting quote from Tahir Qazi
Far out into the
history Saddam Hussein as a dead-man, more
inspirational is he going to be in the hearts of
people because he was the only one in the Muslim
world who stared modern Imperialism in the face and
bravely took hangman's noose around his neck.
Tahir if you mean
he stared modern Imperialism in the face while his
dental check was being done after he was pulled out
of a rat hole with a bag full of imperial money. I
will not deny that. Yes for a brief and
un-noticeable moment he did stare at the face of
imperial army's doctor I thought he stared at him
because the doctor was checking the wrong tooth. But
if it was act of bravery I too salute Saddam.
Anis Zuberi
please just change the last word from enemies to
Victims in your sentence below and you are OK
In
death the it is defiant Saddam who took final
revenge by humiliating his enemies.
Khaleel Siddiqi
you hit the nail on the head, if all Iraqi's
get united together the invaders will leave in no
time. I guarentee that
Jantay hain sub Ishq musalsal
roog hay aah ho zari hay
Phir bhi oskay kuchay main
jatay hain jan gawan-nay loog
I enjoyed
exchanging my views with you guys and hope I have
not hurt anybody’s feeling. Keep up this lively
family discussion. Thanks
Some excrepts
1.At the saddam's Inauguration
firing squads made of cabinet members and other top
officials initially gunned down 21 men, including
five ministers. Iraq’s state radio said the
officials executed their colleagues while “cheering
for the long life of the Party, the Revolution and
the Leader, President, Struggler, Saddam Hussein.”
NOT TRIED EVEN AT A KANGROO COURT
2.The city's 70,000 or so
inhabitants, many of whom were refugees from
outlying areas, had already been pounded for two
days from the surrounding mountain heights by
conventional artillery, mortars and rockets. Many
families had spent the night in their basements to
escape the bombs. When the gas came, however, that
was the worst place to be since the toxic chemicals,
heavier than air, concentrated in low-lying areas.
Between and 4,000 and 5,000 people, almost all
civilians, died either at the time or shortly
thereafter.
Hewa, a university student,
survived by covering his face with a wet cloth and
taking to the mountains around the city. He says
that Iraqi warplanes followed, dropping more
chemical bombs. "I got some gas in my eyes and had
trouble breathing. You always wanted to vomit and
when you did, the vomit was green.15
He says he passed "hundreds" of dead bodies. Those
around him died in a number of ways, suggesting a
combination of toxic chemicals. Some "just dropped
dead." Others "died of laughing." Others took a few
minutes to die, first "burning and blistering" or
"coughing up green vomit." Journalists noted that
the lips of many corpses had turned blue. ALL OF
THEM WERE WELL-FED AND LITERATE IRAQI MUSLIMS
Saddam’s use of
chemical weapons against both military (Iran) and
against civilians (both Iranian and Iraqis) is well
documented. One of the most horrifying acts of
Saddam was his ordering of chemical attack on
Kurdish civilians in the town of Halabja. In this
incident, more than 5000 Iraqis (men, women and
children) were killed in a few hours.
In his book , “Eastern Gate Ruins”, General Wafiq Al
Samarae the former director of the Iraqi
Intelligence Service admits that Saddam’s government
used chemical weapons against Iraqi people in the
holy cities of Najaf and Karbala to crush the
popular uprising of March 1991 which followed the
defeat of Saddam in invading Kuwait. Saddam also
used chemical weapons against its citizens in the
marshes in the southern Iraq.
Among thousands of executions and assassinations, he
was also responsible for the killing of Sunni
Religious leaders such as Abdul Aziz Al Badri the
Imam of Dragh district mosque in Baghdad, Al Shaikh
Nadhum Al Asi from Ubaid tribe in Northern Iraq, Al
Shiakh Al Shahrazori, Al Shaikh Umar Shaqlawa, Al
Shiakh Rami Al Kirkukly, Al Shiakh Mohamad Shafeeq
Al Badri, Abdul Ghani Shindala, etc etc.
Invasions of Iran and Kuwait also resulted in deaths
of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, not to mention
Iranians and Kuwaitis. When one considers the number
of people killed and magnitude of Saddam’s crimes,
one wonders why he was tried and executed for
killing 148 Shi’ites in 1982. Considering the
extensive documentation that exists, surely it was
not difficult to prove the use of Chemical weapons
on Halabja.
DON'T TELL ME THAT ALL ABOVE IS
FABRICATED BY MUSSAD AND CIA TO MALIGN A GREAT
ISLAMIC AND ARAB LEADER
