IRAQ – Out of the Frying Pan into the (American) Fire

Saddam was a tyrant. True. Now that he is gone, would that take care of Iraq’s internal problems?  Hardly.  In fact, the Imperial rulers have no interest in the future of Iraq, its people or their problems. The country was invaded to accomplish two goals, one has been accomplished and the other will soon be accomplished. The goal that has been accomplished is that the Arab country that had the potential to challenge Israel does not exist any more. The goal soon to be accomplished is the control and the handling of the oil such that the lion’s share of the revenue goes to non-Iraqi corporations. Iraq will now exist as one of the poor and militarily weak Arab countries, where social, business, health and cultural infrastructures has been purposely destroyed. As a direct result of the cleverly planned and well executed scheme, the masses will stay uneducated, out of work, sick and mostly dependent on the outsiders who invested in the invasion.

It is truly shameful and short sightedness to feel triumphant about the disposition of one individual at the cost of the destruction of the whole country, its people and their political and financial future. Soon, as they have done in the past, the people with narrow minds and short memories, will often remark: how come, not many Muslims are educated, how come very small percentage of Muslims are in professional positions?

[One might add here that Afghanistan is in no different situation because of its strategic geographical position to transport the central Asian oil to the warm Arabian sea. Had the Talibans accepted the American proposal for the pipe line in the summer of 2001, they would not have been invaded in October 2001, falsely using 9/11 excuse, then again, this is what 9/11 was supposed to be all about].

Iraq is one of the most unfortunate country in the Arab world. In spite of having the largest reservoirs of the crude oil under its soil, the Iraqis may never fully benefit from it. With the puppet  government in Bagdad, the puppeteers in Washington, many of them receive directions from Tel Aviv; Iraq is certainly out of the frying pan, into (a very large) fire. Those, who masterminded 9/11, had long term planning in mind. The extraction, processing, sale and consumption of Iraqi oil will be managed to benefit the corporations of  the countries who took part in the invasion or at least supported in principle. Using, the tried and true, old imperial tactics, the oil will be handled through non Iraqi companies with a very little profit coming back to the rightful owners, the people of Iraq. Those who are jubilant for now, will soon realize what they have lost for good, the most important asset of the country. The loss will most likely be irreversible unless a revolution takes place, the probability of which is slim to none.

As long as a trained animal performs well in the ring, the ring master loves the animal. But as soon as the animal becomes indifferent to the ring master’s wishes, the animal loses its value to the circus (or the organization), and has to be put down or replaced with another – and so, the business of the circus goes on. Saddam was no better than a trained animal performing for the ring-master. The moment he stopped performing, he was replaced.

Now, a different bunch of trained animals have been employed. In the interest of their own survival in the ring, they will perform in accordance with the instructions they receive from the ring-master that happens to be in Washington. The present ring performance does not require waging a war on Iran. The times have changed, so have the expectations. It is now time to submit the black gold to the invaders under apparently kosher looking complex management schemes. The US will have several military bases in the country to ensure that opposing forces should not be able to distract the new animals in the ring. While the new hires are being trained to perform in the ring, the killing fields will stay open to weed out the undesirables as well as the intelligentsia. After all, who is better qualified than the Americans to know how to control and maintain slaves, mentally and physically. Using clever tactics one can sell refrigerators to Eskimos. The Americans have just sold a truck full of them. The second goal is almost accomplished.

The rest of us are still talking about 9/11 while all of us have been paying about 70% higher auto insurance premiums for the last 5 years. I wonder, how many of us know that we are paying for the loss of those stupid looking tall buildings in New York brought down as part of an intricate plan?

Some of us will gloat to see the dominance of one sect over the other – some of us are only capable and limited to those thoughts which have no real value in the world and will always keep us behind others – we will be made to feel obliged and thank for every kick that we receive from those who are well disciplined and know how to rule a divided lot. A divided society is a weak society, susceptible to outside attack by political vultures.
