Azeem Kayum's story is
that of bravery and courage, against all odds he has been through. He
suffered a spinal cord injury at birth (December 1979), which resulted
in severe neurological damage. He spent his first year at the Hospital
for Sick Children in Toronto. Azeem is now twenty-four years old
and despite his inherent limitations, he continues to defy all the
medical and educational odds.
In 2002, Azeem
graduated from Seneca College with Honors in Radio Broadcasting. He
has demonstrated remarkable levels of discipline, perseverance and
resilience and these qualities have contributed to his medical and
academic success. He enjoys public speaking and he has been involved
in motivational speaking since he was about twelve years old. Azeem
maintains a very positive disposition and attitude, which really help
him to deal with his disabilities.
Azeem would like to use his autobiography to launch a career in
motivational speaking especially to students in both public and high
schools. He wrote his autobiography to inspire those who are
challenged and to challenge those who are healthy and normal to be
more aware of people with disabilities. Azeem would like to partner
with Community and Business organizations as he embarks on his
motivational speaking career"......
Azeem is indeed a
role model for our Canadian Youth and a brave young man
