Why has democracy not taken root in most Muslim countries? - FOTH SEMINAR APR. 02, 2006

Dear A'zyz, A^dAb

It is always a pleasure to read your comments. In this particular post   ( # 84 ), you have shown that with a charming smile, you can also discipline the undisciplined students with an iron-hand. Three cheers.

The remarks on the present state of the FOTH discussion are appropriate and justified. I hope the participants will heed to your advice. Will they?

My  personal opinion is, that, all of us are  playing a musical-chair-race
where the fundamental rule has been reversed. In a musical-chair-game, we remove a chair in each round of music, whereas in our present FOTH game we add a few more!

I will request the Head Master to ask his students that every time rhey
present their papers, they should also conclude give a single answer to the question:

"Why has democracy not taken root in most Muslim countries?"

Will they do it?

Cheers,
