"CAN WE SAY GOODBYE TO GOD?"

COMMENTS ON FAMILY OF THE HEART SEMINAR, SEPT. 04. 2005

Dear ‘Close family members’ of

‘The Family of the heart’

I have read the mail of Dr. Khalid, Tahir Qazi sahib, Rafi Aamer sahib and others. We seem to be at cross roads of deciding whether to continue the discussion and debate on the Seminar of Sept 4th, , or to bring it to a close. My two pence worth is that as all things, good or bad,  naturally come to an  end, we should close the  formal discussion. True that the formal section was not officially opened so why should it close? Also since the topic—‘Can we say goodbye to God’ is a never ending debate, so why should we say goodbye to it. However it is felt that every thing loses its glamour and glitter after a while and gets lost into oblivion, so will this debate.  I think letting that happen would only show our indecisiveness and inaction. Having said that, to keep peoples interest alive in exchange of views and ideas,  and as a next logical step in lively participation between members, it is recommended that we start a new ‘chapter’ in the ‘Family of the heart’ where each one can post any thing or article for the view and information of everyone else. I suggest we call this section ‘ Members Exchange” or ‘Exchange of Ideas’.

I would second the name of Mr. Rafi Aamer as its Moderator. It is recommended that all mail be filtered through him, and he will release the appropriate ones after sieving and editing as he feels fit.  What do you say?

Kind regards

Ziauddin Ahmed
