Some people are wondering about the format of program

tomorrow, on 13th August
at Bistro Cara Mia, 1350 Matheson Blvd East. They want to know which
"dignitaries" will attend and what sort of formalities, etc.
I like to share with you that I am not good at observing formalities. I do not
believe that carrying flags, presence and speeches from "dignitaries" do much
good. So, I have not really done anything along such lines. One person offered
to bring flags. If he brings, we will use them, otherwise no flags.
No "VIP's". Our members are our VIP's. Our guests from media, and our friends
will be our VIP's. To me most important thing is the spirit of the occasion, not
the presentation, and formalities. When our members and guests arrive, what they
will see is an ordinary looking occasion. But we all would like to think that
the occasion is not so ordinary. I hope that at least 80 people will attend.
As discussed with you earlier, there will be a couple of short speeches, before
or after dinner, by our members, and then music. Pakistani and Indian old and
new film songs. Some ghazals, etc. NO POLITICS.
